We are very excited to announce the launch of our new Slack integration today! This integration is free and notifies users of Assembla repo events in a centralized Slack channel. We know that consistent communication is key to your team’s success so we are very excited to release this new integration for our community.
Getting started with Assembla + Slack
Getting started with the integration is easy (and free)! First you will have to activate the integration from your Assembla account. Within your Assembla account, navigate to the integrations page and select “Enable.”
You will then have to authorize Slack by entering your login information. Once that information has been entered, you will have to direct your notifications to a specific channel. We recommend creating a channel specifically for this purpose. The integration will then send Stream updates to the channel of your choosing.
Repo event updates in Slack
Once you have added and authorized the integration, you should begin receiving notifications for merge requests, commits, and other notifications in your selected channel.
Now that distributed teams use so many different apps, logging in and out of different tools can be more than a little annoying. The goal of this integration is to help our users keep a close eye on their projects without interrupting their workflow, especially while on the go.
