We're pleased to announce that that in addition to our previously launched iOS app, you can now download our Android app on Google Play. Our development team strives to give our users the ability to manage projects and tasks on the go and we’re excited to bring that functionality to both Apple and Android users alike! Keep reading for an overview of our key features.

Key Features

After downloading the Assembla app in the Apple iTunes store or the Google Play store, you’ll want to log in with your username and password.

Tickets View

When logging into the Assembla app, by default, you’ll land directly into your tickets view where you'll see a list of all tickets from all your projects.  In the tickets view, you can:

  • Filter which tickets you want to see in this view by clicking on the little down arrow right under the title “Tickets.” You can look at tickets assigned to you, overdue tickets or tickets due this week or next week.
  • Mark all as read or dismiss the tickets by clicking on the pencil on the top left of the screen. Dismissing tickets only takes them out of your view. This is a great feature when you have dozens of tickets and you want to clean up your view.
  • Easily mark a ticket unread, comment or dismiss a ticket by swiping your finger to the right or left on each ticket in this view.
  • Mark a ticket as a favorite by clicking on the grey star on the ticket with yellow indicating it as a favorite making it easy to reference later in your favorites view.

[Press Play]

Projects View

To get to your projects view, click on the suitcase icon on the bottom of your screen, left of the green plus arrow.

In this view, all of your projects will be listed in alphabetical order by default. As with tickets,  you can easily mark a project as a favorite by clicking on the grey star. A yellow star indicates it as a favorite. If you have a lot of projects listed, you can use the search box at the top to easily find a project.

Once you click on a project, you’ll be led into viewing all the active tickets in that project.

In this view, you can:

  • Filter which status of tickets you want to see by clicking on the down arrow under the name of your project at the top of your screen.
  • Mark all tickets as read or dismiss them by clicking on the pencil on the top left of your screen.
  • Easily mark an individual ticket as read, dismiss it or add a comment by swiping your finger from left to right on the ticket.
  • Mark a ticket as a favorite by clicking on the grey star on the ticket with yellow indicating it as a favorite.
  • Quickly create a ticket for that particular project by clicking on the plus button on the top right of the screen.

In this view you can:

  • See all of your tickets that you’ve indicated as a favorite as well as your projects.
  • Mark a ticket as unread or comment on a ticket by swiping your finger from left to right on the ticket.
  • Unfavorite a ticket or project by clicking on the star and they’ll be removed from this view.

    [Press Play]

Security

There are two features at the top right of your screen. One is for search so you can easily search for tickets using keywords. The other is the settings menu.

We've provided an additional security measure with biometrics (or a passcode if Touch ID is disabled on your device). After clicking on the settings menu icon you can enable or disable Touch ID. After a timeout, your fingerprint or passcode will be required to see your projects. This protects your company or client information with a simple tap of your finger.

[Press Play]

This is just the start to getting Assembla more accessible to our users on mobile. We know the mobile app is important to our users and we will continue to improve both the app on both platforms.
