Assembla was proud to sponsor the GiveCamp event this weekend in Grand Rapids.
GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where software developers, designers, and database administrators donate their time to create custom software for non-profit organizations (http://givecamp.org/about-givecamp).
Ryan Montgomery says "We decided to use Assembla as the project management tool for the whole thing- your Repositories, Chat tool, Files tool, Images tool, etc. The event consists of 25 agile projects condensed into 48 hours of straight coding and design of web applications, so Assembla was a great fit. We'll ensure everyone there knows and loves Assembla."
Assembla also sponsored the GiveCamp event in Saint Louis last month, called Coders 4 Charities. You can view photos from the event on their Flickr page.
GiveCamp currently runs annual events in 10 US cities. Check out their event calendar to volunteer at an event near you (http://givecamp.org/for-organizers/), or consider organizing a GiveCamp event in your own city! (http://givecamp.org/for-organizers)
